Director Hannah Eidinow and playwright Glyn Cannon met in Edinburgh in 1998. Friends since then, they started working together in 2003 and returned to Edinburgh in 2004 with their award-winning adaptation of Sophocles’ Antigone, GONE.
Amid widespread critical acclaim GONE was awarded a Fringe First award by The Scotsman newspaper and was named Best New Play of the 2004 Fringe by The Guardian.
This working relationship has continued through the development of several new projects. Along with producer Flavia Fraser-Cannon, this association has reached its natural progression with the formation of SILKENSAW.
